Bill Kiolbasa (he/him)

CEO

Bill is the CEO and co-founder of Joule Growth Partners, creating the organization to address social sector challenges he’s seen across prior experience in philanthropic management and nonprofit leadership. Prior to Joule, Bill worked at Ballmer Group Philanthropy, helping launch their national philanthropic efforts by building a $250+ million portfolio of leading national K-12 nonprofits, underwritten to support effective national scaling by organizations with both research-proven results and sound financial and business models. Before Ballmer Group, Bill helped found and grow the nascent charter sector in Washington State, serving as CFO/COO for WA Charters to help build both a new school incubator and effective statewide advocacy organization. Prior to his time in WA, Bill’s other experience includes serving as financial lead for a number of other organizations and work across Chicago, New York, New Orleans, and Los Angeles. Bill graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame and earned CPA credentials in 2007. Bill currently serves on the advisory board of Stand for Children WA and lives in South Seattle with his wife and two sons.

 

Matt Paolini (he/him)

Director

Matt is the Director at Joule Growth Partners.  He's passionate about helping the non-profit sector and his expertise includes non-profit financial analysis and forecasting, accounting, and operations. Prior to consulting Matt was Director of Finance at Summit Public Schools where he helped lead the setup of all operations and finance for new Washington charter schools, as well as launching the organization’s first central operations team for all California and Washington schools. Matt also earned his MBA from UC Irvine and two B.A.s from UC Davis, in economics and history. 

 
 

Liesbeth Kozlowski (she/her)

Senior Accountant

Liesbeth has worked in accounting for over ten years, in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, and is thrilled to support Joule Growth Partner clients with their accounting, payroll, tax, and financial reporting needs. She holds an M.S. in Accounting and an MBA from Northeastern University and received CPA credentials in 2010. Prior to her accounting career, she worked for the National Park Service over the course of a decade, in various roles at various parks. She currently lives in Vermont and in her spare time serves as Treasurer for her town’s historical society.

 
 

Morgan Martinenko (she/her)

Accounting Consultant

Morgan graduated from Oregon State with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Since then, she has worked in the field for 6 years in both the public and private sectors and is excited to help Joule Growth Partner’s clients with their accounting needs. Outside of work, she is a military spouse and mother of 2 young girls currently living in the panhandle of Florida.
